No, you don't have to indulge to join us..but we will try and schedule our meetings in a restaurant or member's home and share some food (that maybe fits the theme of the book) and a glass of wine if you so want to partake. Are you a book lover? Want to meet other SH members that share your passion for the written word? Want to expand your horizons and read some new authors. If so, this book club is for you. Oprah isn't the only one that has a book club! At our first meeting, we will get to know each other, discuss locations for meetings (ie. new spot every month)and other details. To keep it reasonable, we will only read paperbacks or discounted trade paperbooks(current books). It can be a book you have already read, or a new one you would like to. Come with a couple of titles and a list of 5 of your all time favourite books. Please think about what YOU would like to get out of the book club. We can design the club around that, so you have an enjoyable and fun experience. You can also check the Saturday papers for the best sellers list if you need ideas.
Members only! I will pick the first book as I will try and get a local author to come and talk with us. After that we can take turns.
